This medication should only be used during pregnancy if its benefits outweigh the possibility of harm to the developing baby. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, notify your doctor immediately. Steroid medications do appear in breast milk. This medicine is not recommended for nursing mothers.

What is the recommended dose for Entocort?
The recommended dosage for Entocort is 9 milligrams (three 3-milligram capsules) every morning for up to 8 weeks. Your doctor may reduce the dose to 6 milligrams per day for the last 2 weeks of treatment. If symptoms return, the doctor can prescribe another 8-week course of therapy.

What should I do in case of an overdose with Entocort?
If you suspect an overdose with entocort, seek medical attention as soon as possible. High doses of steroids taken for long periods can produce the symptoms. Single massive overdoses are rare, but can have serious consequences.
